Day 16: Cozy
I’ve never been here, but it’s on my bucket list of places to go because I find it SSSSOOOO beautiful, and GRAND. 🙂
This year is the first time in YEARS that we decided to go with a real tree. My brother and I split the price, and off the two of us, along with Mama Bear went. 🙂 We got to the tree place, Holland Hill Tree Farm in Ballston Spa, NY, and after we grabbed a saw we set off into the field to look for our tree. There were a few where we all paused and pondered if it was the tree for us, before mom saw one and pointed it out to us. “I think this is it,” she said happily. Elliott and I nodded in agreement, and my six foot five inches of brother got down on his stomach and cut the tree down.
He hefted it back up the hill and after we put it in the trunk of his car (yes, we had to leave the trunk open-obviously XD), we drove home and put it up in the family room. 🙂
We let the tree sit for a bit to let it warm up(my mom said that this step is important…..I DID NOT KNOW THAT.)
Anyway, after my brother got home from work we decorated the tree with all of the family ornaments, each one having a different meaning. ❤
So that’s our Christmas tree this year. ❤
I know this tree is definitely not as grand as some (most), but we haven’t had a REAL tree since I was super little, so I’m VERY excited to have a real tree again. 🙂
Grab a saw to cut
Pick a tree that’s full and green
Oh the smell of trees!!!
I work at a hotel as the Sales Coordinator. Basically this means that I sell overnight rooms to large groups, and our banquet space for parties, meeting, and weddings. It’s a pretty awesome job, and I love it. ❤ This is my first year doing holiday parties, and I loved watching our banquet staff decorate the room, so I decided to post their hard work. 🙂
So every year the town where I live has a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It’s a really fun event where Santa comes and the kids can take pictures with him, and they do carriage rides, there are reindeer and they light trees that people have decorated in memory of loved ones that have passed. I went up this year (as my mom and dad played Santa and Mrs. Clause!!!) and took a whole bunch of pics to show you guys. Enjoy!!!! 🙂
December 5, 2013-TREE
One of the things on my bucket list is to go to New York City during Christmas time to see the GIANT Christmas tree in Rockefeller Plaza. 🙂 (Kind of a weird dream seeing as how I live in New York, lol-but it’s expensive going to NYC!!!!)
Anyway, this is my aunt’s christmas tree. I always love it because she always gets a real one, and they use ornaments that mean something to everyone in the family. ❤
