This past weekend my brother and friend came up to visit me, and we went to a place called Beaver Brook Falls. It’s absolutely stunning with it’s cascading waterfall and “magical-like” trail paths. We went down one of the trails, and the NH Environmental group has just gone through recently and cleared the path…my brother thought he would be funny, so I snapped this picture:
I know he doesn’t look it, but my brother is actually 6’7″ and a LOT of muscle. It was really funny seeing him “play strong” when he really is strong.
This year for Thanksgiving we went on a hike before eating, and there were two streams that we had to cross. My brother Elliott, and my Uncle Brian helped everyone cross. This picture I love not only because of the people in it, but because of the cool angle I got from above. 🙂
This is a picture of me, my mom, and my two aunts. The other day for Thanksgiving we did something a bit different and went to a local YMCA camp for a buffet and hiking. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!! The hiking wasn’t to hard, but we did have to cross two streams which was fun to see the adults do. 🙂 Anyway, my mom is so my rock. I love her so much, sometimes I don’t think she realizes how important she is to me. ❤ Growing up she really was the parent, but now I consider her one of my best friend’s.
My two aunts are crazy, wacky and I love them to death! The one with the blond hair is Aunt Cathy, and she is the person that loves life, and always sees the cup as half-full. (If it was up to her she’d top it off with wine when it goes past three-quarters full XD) She lives up in the mountains, and her house is totally that “cabin-in-the-woods” home that everyone loves. ❤
My Aunt Diane is the one with the brown hair, and she’s the one who suggested this awesome Thanksgiving dinner to everyone. Glad we did it to. She’s the one who also inspired me to start blogging. 🙂
So really, it’s easy to see why, to me, this picture represents JOYOUS. ❤
I know this picture is a little weird as WARMTH, but let me explain. There’s a place in Vermont where we go every summer (my grandpa and grandma had a house built there back in 1971) and I love it. (It’s one of my two favorite places) So, every once in awhile my mom, aunt and I get a little Vermont sick and we have to make a trip up there. So last yea, after I got home from Disney, I was so Disney sick, I wouldn’t talk to anyone. I was closing myself in my room, not laughing, not smiling, I was pretty miserable. So my mom and aunt took me up to Vermont in March. For those of you who don’t know, where we go in Vermont, the ice doesn’t start melting until April/May.
So we went up, and I got my first look of everything up there covered in snow (normally we go in August or July). The lake, needless to say, was still frozen solid. So my aunt pulled me out (after jumping up and down on it to prove to me it was frozen solid), and even though it was freezing cold, I had never felt warmer. ❤
Oh Thanksgiving…….turkey and stuffing right? But oh so much more then that. I’m not going to lie and tell everyone that I don’t do Black Friday shopping, because I do, and I will be blogging about that tomorrow, but today was definitely spent with family and friends. ❤
We did something a bit different today. Normally we have Thanksgiving here at home, but today we went to a place called Camp Chingachgook (yes I had to look it up online to get the spelling right XD). It was basically a huge buffet with a total of about 100 people. It was so much, and everyone had such a great time.
Before and after dinner we also went on a hike. It was so much fun to go on this walk with everyone. It worked up our appetites’ and the view was gorgeous. 🙂
I hope we can all do this again next year. 🙂 Love my family a ton!!!!!!
