This year is the first time in YEARS that we decided to go with a real tree. My brother and I split the price, and off the two of us, along with Mama Bear went. 🙂 We got to the tree place, Holland Hill Tree Farm in Ballston Spa, NY, and after we grabbed a saw we set off into the field to look for our tree. There were a few where we all paused and pondered if it was the tree for us, before mom saw one and pointed it out to us. “I think this is it,” she said happily. Elliott and I nodded in agreement, and my six foot five inches of brother got down on his stomach and cut the tree down.
He hefted it back up the hill and after we put it in the trunk of his car (yes, we had to leave the trunk open-obviously XD), we drove home and put it up in the family room. 🙂
We let the tree sit for a bit to let it warm up(my mom said that this step is important…..I DID NOT KNOW THAT.)
Anyway, after my brother got home from work we decorated the tree with all of the family ornaments, each one having a different meaning. ❤
So that’s our Christmas tree this year. ❤
