December “Photo-A-Day” Challenge-White

So today’s picture has to symbolize white….and I have the perfect one. πŸ™‚

Averill Lake, Averill, Vermont
Averill Lake, Averill, Vermont

One of my two most favorite places in the world. Averill, Vermont. When I got home from Disney, my mom and aunt took me to Vermont in March, and it was one of the most amazing experiences ever.

We always go to Vermont during the summer, so I had never seen it covered in snow, and I had never seen even a spec of ice on the lake. When we got there the lake was so frozen you could walk on it, and I remember thinking how surreal that was. And even though this may not seem like a big deal to people, I’ve been going here ever since I was a baby….it was just weird. But it was cool to see the snow cloud tornadoes on the lake, and to actually walk out onto the ice. Can’t wait to go again next year. πŸ™‚

November 24, 2013-Snow

If you live in the Northeast and don’t like snow……..why are you still here?????????

Just kidding! πŸ™‚ Kinda. I’m not gonna lie and say I LOVE snow, because I don’t. I told you earlier, my two favorite places are Vermont and Florida, well, the snow is why Florida is my favorite. πŸ™‚

But it is SUPER pretty to look at it. I live in the country, and it’s always pretty looking down our road after it snows and seeing the trees dusted with snow.

I also like seeing our dogs’ foot prints. I don’t know why, but it’s always been super pretty to me. πŸ™‚ Seeing Athena play in the snow is just funny. πŸ™‚

Yes, she's jumping. :)
Yes, she’s jumping. πŸ™‚

And even though it’s dangerous, I love seeing the snow and ice on power wires too….it’s just pretty……

I guess I’m just thankful for the beauty of it all. πŸ™‚ Thank you!!!!

November 19, 2013-Old Man Winter

I know this probably seems like a weird thing to be thankful for, but there’s more. I’m thankful for Old Man Winter teaching Jack Frost all of the tricks of the trade.

I know. weirder. But seriously. I remember when I was little, and we used to get snow storms, and the snow would be in mounds for weeks!! Now, we’re lucky if we get a snow storm.

Which may seem bad, because I actually do like the snow, but it’s nice to wake up and see just a touch of frost on the cars, instead of mounds of snow. I think this has something to do with Old Man Winter getting ready to retire, and him training Jack Frost in all of the tricks of the trade. Does this mean Jack Frost will one day be an Old Man Winter? *shrug* Who knows. πŸ™‚
